There have been many other great sarod exponents and maestros. But Khansahib's sarod had the sweetest sound of them all. It was like the Divine was playing through him.

Thanks for this! Building up the video library sounds fantastic. I attended the college in the mid-2000's, and while I did not study with Khansahib directly, he was still around and his presence was/is always felt. Such a place of joy, positivity, and the highest musicality.

I attended the College in 83/4 plus continued part time for many years. I first met Khansahib in San Anselmo 1970 before the College began. My love of Sarode came from buying a 33rpm record of Raga Todi and Lajwanti by Khansahib in 1966. I shifted from guitar to Sarode, now I'm back with guitar because I can still make some music. I have since retired from playing Sarode (2 years) ago.

I had the great privilege to learn from Khansahib for only one summer, due to my circumstance and also my limited musical capacity. However, that summer was life-changing. Among other amazing experiences, one day I saw this sarode opened up for repairs on a workbench where I was being taught instrument repair. Thank you for sharing these treasures.
